Human Resources Manager

The role of the Human Resources Manager is to manage the Human Resources and benefits for the employees of the school as the HR coordinator. This includes all contracts, job postings and descriptions updates, health and insurance benefits, general HR duties including onboarding/offboarding, lead management of the HR portal (iSolved), and assist in training staff in HR related matters. As a member of the VMA community, the individual supports and fosters the mission and core values of Villa Maria Academy.


· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Human Resources Management, Psychology or similar field.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Process payroll for organization. Experience with iSolved is a plus.

· Coordinates all benefit administration of the school for employees.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Serves on the HR Team as main lead.

· Acts as the liaison between the school and the PAISBOA HBT.

· Supervises personnel record keeping as the iSolved administrator.

· Develop and lead in-service training on HR Matters for employees including management training and induction collaboration.

· DocuSign administration for Coaches and Music Adjunct staff

· Serve on (FAC) Faculty Advisement Committee

· Goal tracking/employee check in for staff.

· Serves as a point of contact with school attorney for HR issues.

· Establish procedures and protocols for managers.

· Implements personnel policies with employees.

· Seek coursework for HR related duties and responsibilities.

· PTO Tracking for employees and year-end payroll.

· Facilitate Employee Meetings with OneDigital representative for retirement/investment strategy.

· Update and review job descriptions. Document updates with employee and isolved posting.

· Track all employee clearances for all staff, coaches, adjuncts, and volunteers over 18.

· Complete and execute all yearly Letters of Compensation and hiring chart documents each year.

· Update and distribute staff handbook and master contracts as needed.

· Update Teacher hiring chart yearly and share charts with HOS/AHOS/Finance Department.

· Collaborates with Director of Strategic Initiatives to ensure employment data is accessible and secure.

· Collaborates with HR team on incentive programs for employees, milestone acknowledgements, etc.

· Advises HOS/AHOS on employment topics and concerns as needed.

· Engage in employee mediation and issue resolution, in collaboration with school administration.

· Directs employment position inquiries and communicates postings with Markcom team.
