This year, Gbuild Construction Managers is celebrating its 15^th anniversary of business.  

In the midst of the 2009 recession, construction industry veteran Doug Gianforte founded Gbuild Construction Managers with the vision of making highly technical, sustainable construction more affordable on commercial construction projects.

Fifteen years later, the strategy has paid off. 

From its humble beginnings around Gianforte’s kitchen table, Gbuild Construction Managers has become one of the fastest-growing, reputable commercial construction companies in the region.  Now headquartered out of its own building in Exton, named one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Cool Offices,” Gbuild’s growth has landed the company on a number of awards lists, including the “INC5000”, the “Soaring 76”, and the “Philadelphia 100.”  Last year, Gbuild was also inducted into the “Philadelphia 100” Hall of Fame.

Gbuild’s expertise in helping clients navigate highly technical, complicated construction projects has made the company a trusted partner for some of the most notable higher education, life sciences, and corporate entities in the region.

“I knew I wanted to do things differently,” shares Gianforte.  “We had to be creative and collaborative while staying attentive to our clients’ deadlines and budgets. It’s rewarding to see how our hard work can really positively impact these businesses and institutions in the long run.”

Gbuild has constructed many notable projects in the region such as Turn5 headquarters and the University of Delaware Perkins Student Center

Although sustainability practices have changed significantly over the years, Gbuild continues to bring a “sustainability-first” mindset to all projects.  The company implements construction waste management and indoor air quality management programs on every project, and has supported many clients in implementing and achieving their construction related sustainability initiatives.

Gbuild has also consistently been recognized for its progressive construction management practices with industry awards such as the Governor’s Safety Award (12 times), the Associated Builders and Contractors STEP Platinum and Diamond Safety Awards, and dozens of “Construction Excellence Awards.”

As the company approaches its third decade of business, Gianforte predicts more growth for Gbuild.  This past year, Gbuild expanded its team by 40% and promoted several longtime employees to new roles to support this growth.
