CCCBI's Women in Business Committee Holds Gals on the Green Golf Outing

May 3, 2023

On Tuesday, the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry's Women in Business Committee held their fourth annual Gals on the Green Golf Outing in collaboration with the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce and the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. Despite the inclement weather conditions, over fifty women took on the Phoenixville Country Club course for a pre-tee off clinic and nine hole scramble, followed by a cocktail reception in the clubhouse.

The WIB Committee is dedicated to providing educational resources, opportunities, and networking events for professional women in Chester County. Gals on the Green is a unique opportunity for women to come together to enjoy a round of golf and network with women across industry fields to build impactful relationships.

Laura Manion, President and CEO of CCCBI, spoke on the advocacy initiatives of the chamber, including the childcare and housing crises, and the impact that women have both in business and in the community. Jolie Karp, Chair of the WIB Committee, commented on how networking events like Gals on the Green promote positive allyship and collaboration for women in business in both their professional and personal lives. Katie L. Walker, President of GWCC, also noted the importance of partnership between the chambers of Chester County in the pursuit of connecting women in business.

This golf outing was possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, Bowers R&D, Abel Brothers Towing, Goshen Mechanical, Brumbaugh Wealth Management, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Malvern Bank, Sarah Black for Judge, Miles Financial Management, EZ Pizzi Cleaning, Swope Lees Commercial Real Estate, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Sommsation, Stephano Slack, and Volpe Enterprises.

Floral arrangements for the reception were provided by new member and sponsor, Merrythought Gardeners. Attendees were given the opportunity to purchase curated arrangements or create their own bouquets.

CCCBI is grateful for the support of our sponsors, partners, and participants in this sold out event, as we aim to expand the influence of our Women in Business Committee in the future.
