PowerGreen Capital: Business Development Representative

PowerGreen Capital provides innovative C-PACE financing and new tax incentives to fund clean energy building projects, including improvements that increase energy efficiency and provide onsite energy generation and storage.  

We are based in Phoenixville, PA and are the only PA-based C-PACE capital provider. We are on a path to becoming the preferred financing partner to both commercial and non-profit building owners in the Mid-Atlantic for both their energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.  We are starting in greater Chester County through a hyper-local focus on engaging and working with prospect and partners that share our mission.  PowerGreen will enable the clean energy transition for Pennsylvania building owners, save them money, and enhance the value of their properties.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our company and our customers and partners, including commercial and non-profit building owners, chambers of commerce, and economic development organizations. Your role will be to educate the market on the virtues of C-PACE financing and uncover new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers and the local government and public/private entities that support them. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience directly in real estate or related business services and be skilled in converting leads from marketing campaigns to lasting relationships and meeting sales or business development quotas. You will use your local PA knowledge, contacts, and excellent communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until they choose to work with PowerGreen. You will do the same with staff in chambers of commerce and economic development organizations who share our mission. Responsibilities

  • Engage leads from marketing campaigns and from your own initiative

  • Contact potential clients through emails, calls, events, and warm introductions

  • Present our company to and educate potential clients about C-PACE

  • Identify client needs and help shape our communications and services

  • Imagine and propose product solutions to meet customers' needs

  • Build long-term trusting relationships with customers and partners

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Set up and lead meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and PowerGreen team mates

  • Continuously learn and improve as PowerGreen grows and adapts to meet

 

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations

  • Strong relationships and a network in eastern PA 

  • Work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role in eastern PA, ideally in a RE related business

  • Hands-on experience with multiple communication techniques

  • Track record of achieving sales or business development goals 

  • Experience and comfort with CRM software 

  • Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and related productivity applications

  • Understanding of sales performance metrics

Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
