WIB Networking For a Cause
|
CCCBI's Women Influencing Business Network hosted a truly unique event last night, Networking for a Cause!
We partnered with the Fighting Back Scholarship Program to assemble gift bags for the incredible caregivers who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones facing traumatic illness and injury. Their compassion, strength, and selflessness often go unseen, and this was an opportunity to show them just how appreciated they are!
With the support of our Community Partner Sponsor, HTA Insurance Services, and multiple generous donors, nearly fifty women were able to foster connections and create a lasting impact.

"This is the kind of event that truly fills my cup. Bringing people together to connect and build relationships is something I love, but being able to do that while giving back to such a meaningful cause makes it even more special," said Gabby Riva of the O'Connor Group and CCCBI's WIB Network Chair.
"It was incredible to hear directly from Scott Dillman, Founder & President of the Fighting Back Scholarship Program, and Natanya Sortland, one of their amazing Ambassadors, to learn more about the impact this organization has on individuals and families in our community."
"I’m so grateful to everyone who showed up, gave their time, contributed, and helped make the evening such a success. A special thank you to our event sponsor, HTA Insurance Services, as well as Aneu Kitchens, Olive & Meadow, Beem, The Desmond Hotel, Wawa, Phamily Orthodontics, and Little Miss Moffitt for their generosity and support. We also had so many individuals and organizations contribute through our caregiver wish list and monetary donations. Seeing our community come together in this way was incredibly special, and I know these caregivers are going to feel all of the love and support behind every contribution.”
Thank you to our sponsors, partners, donors and everyone who attended this inspiring event!

Pennsylvania's Employment Level
|
Pennsylvania's employment level hit a record high in July, according to a preliminary report from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. According to the report, PA's unemployment rate fell to 3.9% in July, the first time it has been under 4% since October 2024. It was also two-tenths of a percent below the national unemployment rate of 4.1%. The Commonwealth's civilian labor force rose by over 8,000 people in July, compared to a 10,000-person drop in unemployment. 31,900 jobs were added, with 25,100 of those in education and health services. Pennsylvania's gains stand in contrast to the national economy, which shed 23,000 jobs in July, against the predictions of economists.
At the same time, a July survey of 3,022 U.S. small business owners estimated that nearly 1.65 million PA employees work in roles where their employers believe artificial intelligence could perform at least a portion of the job. Nationally, 58% of respondents indicated that AI could perform a meaningful portion of the work handled by at least one employee, but despite this 61% reported delaying AI adoption because of potential consequences for employees.

Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions
|
At Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions, dba Filta Southeastern Central PA, we help hardworking kitchen operators take some of the cleaning, maintenance, and oil-management burden off their teams so they can concentrate on what they do best—taking care of their customers and creating great food.
As a local Chester County business, Filta understands that restaurants and other commercial kitchens are more than just businesses. They are workplaces, gathering places, and an important part of our local communities. The people who work in them are valuable, and so is their time!
|
Filta is an extension of the kitchen team. We clean from floors to ceilings and everything in between, helping create kitchens that are cleaner, safer, and more efficient. We also filter cooking oil, helping operators get more life from their oil, save money, and reduce waste. And when we take on those jobs, kitchen employees can spend their time on hospitality and culinary responsibilities instead of doing the dirty work.
We like to say: “We Make Commercial Kitchens Faster, Cleaner, Safer, and Greener.” We’re proud to be a local, eco-friendly partner to commercial kitchens throughout Chester County and the surrounding areas. Our goal isn’t just to provide a service—it’s to build relationships, solve problems, and help our local businesses succeed.
