Legislative Update

September Speaker Series: Election Predictions

This morning's Speaker Series on 2024 Election Predictions welcomed a full house of CCCBI Members and two expert speakers.

Hon. Alison Young of RWB Strategies and Jamie Perrapato of Promote the Vote PA each shared their background and expertise before jumping into a dynamic Q&A session with our attendees.

Chester County residents and business owners asked questions ranging from auditing unmatched ballots, current effects of the Inflation Reduction Act, is PA reforming energy policies, what are the presidential candidates doing to support small businesses and finally, what were Young and Perrapato's predictions for the November election.

Throughout the productive conversation, it was evident from both Young and Perrapato that more and more voters are in favor of bipartisanship from both Democrat and Republican parties. People are growing weary of "identity" politics, and are seeking joint solutions for the concerns Americans are facing. Both speakers also noted their interest in the impact of economics leading up to the November election, as is has become a deciding factor for residents, businesses and employees.

CCCBI has prioritized bipartisanship in our advocacy efforts, educational events, and partnerships with elected officials at all levels. With such a diverse business community within our Membership and across Chester County, we plan to continue these discussions across the aisle to advocate for and represent our Member businesses. CCCBI, our government affairs consultant, and our Government Affairs Committee (GAC) will remain diligent in helping business owners navigate the economic climate post-election.

Thank you to all who joined us for this informative discussion!

Any CCCBI Member interested in attending the next GAC meeting on Friday, September 13th, can email Laura Manion for more information.
