WIB Committee Welcomes New Members

CCCBI's Women Influencing Business Committee welcomed new committee members for a planning meeting heading into 2024.

Nearly twenty-five women from member businesses joined the WIB Committee to define the goals and types of events to be held in 2024. This strong showing of participation excites CCCBI as we strive to provide opportunities for advocacy, community, and connection for all in the membership.

We look forward to working with this team to expand the depth of the committee and to encourage more women who are actively influencing business.

The next WIB event, You Are Not A Superhero!, will now be held at CCCBI Headquarters to allow for more attendees. Registration has re-opened for CCCBI members! See flyer below for additional information.

Legislative Update

Please Contact Your Elected Officials to Support the Childcare Tax Credit

Dear Business Leader & Employer -

The prolonged budget impasse in Harrisburg is of impact to many items. While the final package should consider all pro-business policies, we continually hear from employers, such as you, on how the lack of accessible and affordable childcare is hampering the ability to hire. This is because potential workers can either not find childcare or afford it.  Out of all of the critical policy goals of the business community, the Childcare Tax Credit, seemingly has the most bi-partisan support during the current impasse. This is demonstrated by the fact that HB 1259, Easing the burden of child care costs, (Davis, Tina) passed the House of Representatives by 141-62.

Thus, we are asking you to utilize this link to implore the General Assembly to enact the childcare tax credit at a minimum, as other budget items are debated.
