Simply Wonderful BAH at Simply Men's Barber Shop

On Tuesday evening, CCCBI held their June Business After Hours at Simply Men's Barber Shop in West Chester.

This unique take on our typical BAH events brought attendees in for a night of networking with a special men's shopping event.

Both Members and Non-Members came out to network, enjoy delicious food and beverages, and find the perfect Father's Day gift thanks to our local vendors.

It was such a joy to see new connections being made and perspective members learning about who CCCBI is and what we can do for businesses of all sizes!

Special thanks to our host - Simply Men's Barber Shop, our vendors - Bluebird Distilling, J.Hilburn, Mae's West Chester, Main Line Armory, Roman Coia Photographer & Side Bar West Chester, and finally our Chamber Ambassadors for their help making this fantastic event possible!

Handi-Crafters Hosts CCCBI Board Meeting

This morning, CCCBI held our June Board of Directors Meeting at Handi-Crafters (HC) in Coatesville.

After a robust discussion surrounding Chamber events, initiatives and current legislation tracking, our Board members had the opportunity to hear from Handi-Crafters' Executive Director, April Ennis-Pierson.

April shared her lifelong adoration and love for HC's mission through an engaging presentation. She didn't just tell us about the people and the partnerships that make up HC, but she showed us!

Almost thirty of our Board Members were taken on tours of the HC facilities and got to see dozens of program participants in action, assembling boxes, packing orders, weighing product and more.

It was a pleasure to visit this wonderful organization and see that they work with several of our Members and community partners to provide a supportive and educational service for individuals with barriers to employment as they work towards their full potential.

Thank you to the entire Handi-Crafters team for hosting us and sharing their inspiring story and mission!

Minimum Wage Survey to Close this Friday

CCCBI is launching a Minimum Wage Survey for our Membership.

Current minimum wage proposals in the state legislature will have an impact on our business community. Our goal with this survey is to gather insights on the effects that these proposals may have for your business, whether it's small, medium or large.
Your feedback is invaluable in understanding the challenges and opportunities these policies present.

We kindly ask you to take a few moments to share your perspectives and experiences by participating in this 1-2 minute survey before it closes this Friday, June 14th at midnight.

Your input will help shape future discussions and policy recommendations.

Thank you for your time and contributions.

Legislative Update

Huzzah Chester County!

CCCBI is excited to support Chester County 250, as our community is one of the leading tourist locations for the Delaware Valley, and has the potential to grow further with the right resources in place.

In 2019, Chester County employed nearly 25,000 workers in the tourism and entertainment industry. While this number has slightly fallen due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its lingering effects, the County still has a lot to offer. From charming main streets to the state’s largest garden display, it isn’t hard to see why so many people come to visit the place which we call home.

But the tourism industry is being held back. 2019 data shows that only four states spend less than Pennsylvania does on tourism promotion, and some states spend as much as fifty times what Pennsylvania does on marketing tourism. From natural beauty to historic battlegrounds, Pennsylvania and Chester County have a lot to offer the rest of America.

It’s long past time to invest in tourism.

Communities across the country will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great nation all through 2026. Planning for celebrations and commemorations is underway NOW, at the federal, state, and local levels.

Chester County  250 aims to inspire and engage all our communities in commemoration of America's founding, connecting Chester County's stories to the nation's past, present, and future.
