Business Before Business with Penn State Great Valley
|
What a wonderful morning at Penn State Great Valley!
CCCBI wrapped up the month of July with a well-attended Business Before Business at Penn State Great Valley's Conference Center, perfectly designed for nearly 50 guests to find new connections.
One of the best parts about these monthly networking events is that there's always a familiar face to catch up with—and someone you've never met before. Those new introductions are what help our business community continue to grow and thrive.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event another successful morning of networking. We look forward to seeing you at the next Business After Hours at Limoncello Chester Springs!

Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit
|
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue announced that the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit (WPTC) delivered almost $217 million to over 876,000 Pennsylvanians in its first year. Created by the 2025-2026 state budget, the WPTC is modeled after the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and equal 10% of a recipient's federal credit. The program is intended to provide targeted relief for lower-income households who earned income in Pennsylvania, putting up to $805 back in the pockets of eligible taxpayers.
The Chamber was proud to support the WPTC during consideration last year. President Laura Manion testified before the House Finance Committee in support of the program, saying "our members have seen firsthand how the asynchronous changes to the cost of living and real wages have tightened the disposable income of households. (The WPTC) offers targeted assistance to workers and families who need it most [and] reduces the barriers for firms to attract employees." Individuals and couples qualify for the credit based on their annual income. Joint filers are eligible at higher income levels than individuals, and the number of children also impacts eligibility. More information can be found here.

Business owners like you have a lot on their plate, from staffing and retaining the right team to balancing finances and putting out fires on a daily basis.
Too often marketing efforts fall down on the priority list or are put on hold to save costs at a time when they are most needed.
