Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with The Willows Golf Lounge

Over the weekend, CCCBI visited The Willows Golf Lounge for a special ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate their grand opening!
Chamber staff, ambassadors and several Members drove through the snowy weather to check out their beautiful space. Fellow Members Oola Bowls Malvern and Good Girls Bakery enhanced the experience with refreshments in support of The Willows Golf Lounge.

Economic Concerns Overshadow 2026
|
After finally agreeing to the FY25-26 State Budget in November, the Pennsylvania General Assembly is now gearing up for the next budget process by scheduling Session Days and Appropriation Committee Hearings. This process will be overshadowed by the 2026 midterm elections for the Governor, the full House, and half of the Senate, as well as fiscal concerns.
As reported by Capitolwire, the Independent Fiscal Office warns that annual deficits have grown by an additional $1 billion due to rising education and health care costs, new tax credits, and federal cost shifts. A mid-year briefing from the governor’s Budget Office projects slow growth and weak job gains, citing uncertainty over federal policy under President Trump and shifting costs for programs like SNAP.
The IFO projects a current structural deficit of $5.0 billion to $6.0 billion for the current 2025-26 fiscal year, increasing to $7.7 billion in FY 2030-2031 (15% of net revenues).
Although Pennsylvania currently holds a General Fund surplus and a Budget Stabilization Fund (Rainy Day Fund), the IFO warns that these reserves could be depleted by the 2026-27 fiscal year if current spending trends continue without new revenue.
The Senate Appropriations Committee scaled back the hearing schedule with only two weeks of hearings, while the House is still keeping three weeks of meetings with both Committees starting the schedule on February 23rd. The Senate is hearing this year from 11 state agencies; the House from 23 agencies and state aid recipients.
