Video

CCCBI's President & CEO, Laura Manion, recently sat down with the Chester County Economic Development Council and Citadel Credit Union on their Open for Business Podcast!

It was a pleasure to sit town with two Chamber Members and active regional partners to connect, collaborate and create new opportunities for business across Chester County and beyond.

In this episode of Open for Business, host Tom Sebok sits down with two leaders shaping the future of our region’s business community — Laura Manion, President of the CCCBI, and Michael Grigalonis, President & COO of the Chester County Economic Development Council.

Together, they discuss how their organizations support local business owners, foster growth, and help navigate today’s economic landscape. From workforce development and advocacy to access to resources and long-term planning, Laura and Michael share practical insights that every business owner in Chester County can use.

They also dive into the current state of our local economy — what’s strong, what’s shifting, and what business leaders should be preparing for in the months ahead.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a growing company, or simply invested in the future of our region, this conversation offers valuable perspective on how our chambers can be true partners in your success.

Legislative Update

CCCBI Concludes 2025 Bipartisan Dinner Series with Senator Scott Martin

Last night, the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry hosted its fourth and final bipartisan legislative dinner of 2025, welcoming Senator Scott Martin (R) for an engaging and substantive discussion with Chamber members. Representative Mike Schlossberg (D) was unfortunately unable to attend due to late votes in Harrisburg.

Senator Martin met with CCCBI members representing the business, nonprofit, and education sectors, offering insights on the recently passed state budget and key policy issues impacting Pennsylvania’s economy and workforce. The conversation focused heavily on public education, the “brain drain” affecting Pennsylvania’s higher education institutions, workforce shrinkage, permitting reform, CNIT, RGGI and energy policy, as well as the growing implications of AI, data centers, and grid capacity.

Attendees had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions specific to their organizations and industries, as well as broader policy concerns affecting the Commonwealth and Chester County’s economic competitiveness.

CCCBI is proud to have hosted a full slate of bipartisan legislative dinners in 2025 and remains committed to fostering constructive dialogue between policymakers and the regional business community. We look forward to building on this momentum and advancing a strong legislative advocacy agenda in 2026.
