Malvern, PA – April 16, 2025 – Fort Freedom has officially launched its newest office at Greencastle Consulting’s headquarters in Malvern, PA.
As a 501c3 non-profit organization, their mission aims to reduce the Veteran suicide rate and heal the wounds of PTSD by providing transformative programs that empower Veterans to reclaim their lives.
This strategic expansion deepens the collaboration between two Veteran-led organizations with a shared commitment to serving the Veteran community. Greencastle, a 100% Veteran-owned and operated consulting firm specializing in strategy execution, is providing the space and support to help Fort Freedom scale its programs throughout the greater Philadelphia region and beyond.
“Greencastle exists to serve—whether it’s our clients or the veteran community,” said Joe Crandall, CEO at Greencastle Consulting. “Partnering with Fort Freedom is a natural fit. They’re doing powerful work helping Veterans and their families heal and thrive. We’re happy to be a part of it.”

Why Does Advocacy Matter for YOUR Business?
At the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, our mission is to advocate for a stronger, more connected regional economy — and right now, one of the most pressing threats to that economy is the proposed funding shortfall facing SEPTA.
While it may seem like a city issue at first glance, the impact on Chester County and the surrounding suburban counties will be significant — and deeply felt by businesses of all sizes and industries. These proposed cuts will eliminate critical train and bus routes, reduce weekend service, and add hours to already challenging commutes. For businesses in healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and beyond, this means fewer employees able to get to work on time — or at all. If your employees or customers use public transportation, these cuts will impact your bottom line.
This is why CCCBI’s advocacy matters.
We are actively engaging with state leaders, regional coalitions, and business partners to urge sustainable funding for SEPTA — not just to prevent a crisis, but to support the long-term growth and talent pipeline our businesses depend on.
Read our recent opinion piece with the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and the Main Line Chamber of Commerce outlining how SEPTA cuts would derail economic growth and workforce mobility.
In 2023, we listened when Member businesses said employees were leaving the workforce due to a lack of affordable childcare. CCCBI partnered with over 50 business organizations, the PA General Assembly and the Governor Shapiro Administration in support of the Child and Dependent Care Enhancement Tax Credit to support both employers and working families.
On December 13, 2023, ACT 34 was signed into law. This momentous achievement was a direct result of Member feedback from both employers and employees in Chester County.
CCCBI regularly shares opinion pieces, surveys, and partners with Chambers of Commerce, community organizations and legislators from across the region to understand both the challenges and supportive measures that our Members are experiencing as we strive to promote a healthy business economy.
One of the most effective ways to hear about what CCCBI is doing and for us to understand your concerns is by getting involved with our Government Affairs Committee (GAC). In our monthly GAC meetings, our lobbyist gives updates on specific tracked legislation to update our members in various sectors on legislation that may affect their business. Attendees include businesses of all sizes, non-profits, community partners, and more. Discussion topics are always timely to business and our current political and business climates.
The Chamber prioritizes strategic relationships with community partners through joint events and leadership roles to voice the concerns of our Members with regional stakeholders.
Most recently, CCCBI partnered with Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC), the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) and West Chester University for a landmark event, Executive Insights: A Panel of Visionary CEOs.
The CEOs of CTDI, CHOP, Vanguard and Wawa discussed topics ranging from economic growth and workforce development to corporate responsibility and education, all priorities found in CCCBI's 2025 Legislative Agenda.
CCCBI's President & CEO, Laura Manion, frequently fosters these key initiatives and relationships. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for GVF and will receive their notable 2025 Advocacy Award.
"This recognition is a reflection of the collaborative efforts of so many who are committed to advancing smart, sustainable transportation solutions that strengthen our communities," said Manion.
Your investment in the Chamber powers this work and gives our business community a seat at the table. If current or proposed legislation plays a role in your workforce strategy, we want to hear from you!
