Sold Out Speed Networking
|
Early Wednesday morning, CCCBI started our morning with our very first Speed Networking session!
Forty of our Members were invited to make meaningful connections, quickly as they worked their way around the packed room.
Our sponsor, IQONIQ Custom Clothiers, kicked off the session with an introduction to the Chamber and to his business. IQONIQ specializes in premium custom-made clothing that blends refined craftsmanship, world-class fabrics, and contemporary design – created to reflect who you are and how you live. Founder, Kevin Murphy, has dedicated his expertise to helping professionals build wardrobes that project confidence, authority and personal style, all factors that can contribute directly to promoting yourself while networking!
Thank you to Kevin and to fellow Member, Madi's on a Roll, who provided breakfast bites for our guests!

U.S. gas prices exceeded $4 per gallon for the first time since 2022 on Tuesday. The AAA national average hit $4.02, over a dollar more than when the conflict in Iran began on February 28. Both Brent crude, the international standard, and benchmark U.S. crude are selling for more than $100 per barrel, up from $70 before the conflict. Analysts warn that higher prices will be seen in more places than the gas station. As the cost of transporting goods increases, businesses may increase prices on non-oil goods as well. For instance, the U.S. Postal Service has requested a temporary 8% charge on some products, including priority mail, to cover increased gas costs.
As oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz– where ⅕ of the world’s crude oil normally transits– continue to be halted, emergency oil reserves have been released to help ease strain, including the International Energy Agency and U.S. reserves. While the U.S. is a net oil exporter, the oil it produces (lighter crude oil) is different from what its refineries are designed to utilize (heavy crude) and thus some foreign reliance is necessary. A recent AP-NORC poll found that 45% of American adults are “very” or “extremely” concerned about being able to afford gas, up from 30% in 2024.
