Coffee & Conversation
Networking Across Generations
|
CCCBI started our Wednesday on a high note with Coffee & Conversation: Networking Across Generations!
Our moderator and Chamber Ambassador, Monica Ferguson of IT Edge, led an engaging discussion, through which nearly twenty attendees shared their experiences, exchanged practical networking strategies and explored how meaningful connections can lead to mentorship, referrals, collaboration and long-term business growth.
When looking at business relationships between Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z, there are some key differences in communication. From communication modes to frequency and even styles, companies are seeing significant preferences based on their employees' generations. The younger workforce is also leaning into the use of AI, prompting business organizations to consider this tool's uses and where to implement it. Despite differences in communication styles and the growing use of technology, there was still a great sense of optimism in regards to collaboration between generations.
"What an incredible cross-generational networking coffee event yesterday!" said Monica Ferguson, Content Marketing Specialist at IT Edge. "The big takeaway was clear: understanding why different age groups act and communicate the way they do in the workforce is the fastest way to build better outreach across industries. Huge thank you to every single attendee who shared their perspective so passionately."
Special thanks to everyone who joined us for this wonderful morning!

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Turks Head Wines
|
Wednesday marked a special milestone for Turks Head Wines, their 2nd Anniversary!
CCCBI was thrilled to visit their stunning tasting room to celebrate with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Our Director of Events, Jarrod Rabatin, and two of our Ambassadors, Tim Kleczka of SERVPRO of the Main Line and Justin Gildea of S&T Bank, enjoyed an enriching wine experience in a sophisticated setting.
The most unique aspect of Turks Head Wines is truly their roots as a California winery with a PA tasting room and restaurant, which has impressively developed a wine-first culinary menu for both guests and members.
Founder Allison Owen, a Level 3 Sommelier and Certified Wine Instructor, guided our Chamber team through her story, the intentional design of the location and the variety of experiences their patrons have access to.
Congratulations Allison and her amazing team at Turks Head Wines!

Continuing Resolution Passed to Avoid Fourth Federal Shutdown
|
The federal government passed a continuing resolution last week to fund the government through December 11, avoiding a shutdown at the end of the fiscal year on September 30. Congress has yet to pass any of the twelve annual appropriations bills and was unlikely to do so before the end of the month. Legislators were anxious to avoid what would have been the fourth federal shutdown since this time last year as November elections draw closer.
The continuing resolution maintains FY2026 funding levels, renews the Defense Production Act and Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, continues highway and infrastructure program funding, and extends the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and the Haiti HOPE/HELP trade preference programs for two additional years. It also delays the implementation of the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) proposed overhaul of the Uniform Guidance. The new rule, which would drastically alter regulations surrounding federal funding awards, was not withdrawn, but rather temporarily paused.

Cafe Gourmino is a West Chester-based mobile espresso bar and small-batch coffee roaster. What began as a small coffee cart serving local communities and businesses has grown into an award-winning, well-established coffee catering company serving the greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. In addition to the carts, we recently added a truly unique French retro coffee truck giving our clients a wonderful option for outdoor events.
But Cafe Gourmino offers much more than coffee. Our goal is to create one-of-a-kind experiences grounded in hospitality that goes above and beyond. We serve families looking to add a special touch to celebrations and gatherings, while also partnering with large multinational agencies and corporations, as well as event planners, all seeking memorable experiences through specialty coffee, custom branding, and exceptional hospitality.
From private family parties, employee and customer appreciation events, and workplace hospitality programs to conferences, product launches, and large-scale brand activations, our team brings the quality of a specialty coffee shop directly to our clients’ guests. We can customize every detail, including branded carts, custom menus, and personalized guest experiences that reflect each client’s unique brand and vision. With high-end equipment and carefully sourced coffee roasted in our own shop, we can ensure that we deliver peak flavors and aromas at every event.

Cafe Gourmino was founded on the belief that coffee creates community. Whether we’re serving a private party, an executive meeting, or a large corporate trade show, our purpose remains the same: to create meaningful moments, foster connection, and leave a lasting impression.
Because coffee is more than a beverage—it’s an opportunity to serve “Kindness-In-Every-Cup.”
